I know that it's recommended to completely disabled ALL other extensions AND browser's built-in blockers. <== They might interfere with our solutions.

On MacOS, should I disable Safari Content Blocker? I see ads on multiple websites if I do have it disabled, but no longer see any ads if I turn it on. Yes, I have everything on default and filtering mode is set to optimal.

Any content blocker, including built-in ones, can interfere. If you see ads on any websites, report the websites through the report button on uBOL pop-up dashboard.

Safari > Settings > Content Blocker

If I'm not wrong, this settings mean turn on/off all of content blockers in Safari, including all content blocker extensions (uBOL...) and Safari's built-in blocker. So turning off "content blockers" here means turning off uBOL as well.

Safari built-in blocker settings is in another section if I remember correctly.

IIRC the switch for Safari ITP is under Safari settings, but I won't call it a content blocker.

This is not a "Safari Content Blocker", this is a setting where you can control whether content blocking should be enabled, wholly or on a per-site basis. uBOL is considered a "content blocker" by Safari, hence it will be affected by this setting.

You need to set this to on, otherwise you are essentially telling Safari to not use a content blocker on any webage -- this is what is causing your issue.

On my iphone, Safari built-in blocker is in Settings -> Apps -> Safari -> Advanced Tracking and Fingerprinting Protection if I'm not wrong.

@lennypangpang Donn’t touch any default built-in protection — just don’t install another content blocker.
