General question.... im sorry. im literally unable to use reddit so thsi is my only other option,,,,

2 other post got removed by ''reddits filters'' whatever that means, i tried everything. reddit hates me and i hate it too.
if this really isnt allowed, im really sorry, please feel free to remove this post but please tell me where i can ask this.
Im just physically unable to use reddit, it simply does not work.....

i really need the latest working version for uBO for FireFox 52esr for windows xp, to make it atleast a bit more secure. the legacy version is from 2021, which is probably older than the one that still works, but im not sure, thats why im asking.
I could really use a date/time when it worked/stopped working, then I can go to the wayback machine snapshot page near/slightly before that page to download it
or a release nr on their github

a way to install the latest compatible version [atleats iphone got that feature right, even tho i never use iphone]

"Reddit filters" still lets mods read, answer and approve posts (most of the time). "Violating content policy" is something that's out of our hands.

The latest uBO legacy is:

• uBO 1.16.4.30 from 20-06-2021 by JustOff
• or uBO 1.16.4.35 from 16-04-2024 by AstroSkipper

Besides, maybe it would be good for you to switch to a Firefox's fork: r3dfox - if the limited Windows XP compatibility using One Core API will not give you too many troubles. R3dfox supports much newer versions of uBO.

The oher options for you are:

• to switch to Windows 7 / Linux if possible
• to replace your ancient PC with something newer that can support Win 7 or newer, as such computers are really cheap nowadays, and there is no point in keeping an ancient device capable of Windows XP only

Unless you have a some specific reason to stay on obsolete and ancient Windows XP.

However, since Firefox 48-52.0.2 & 53-56, it has become more difficult to disable add-on signature verification (ESR honors the certificate check deactivation mechanism from about:config).

THANKS, final; question, so uhhh when i try to install ublock 1.68 on 115 esr it errors with corruption notif. did you drop support for 115est? 1.67 works, but for how long is the question....
