Introduction & Interest in Contributing (GSoC)

Hello everyone 👋

My name is Harjot Kaur, and I’m from India. I’m currently a second-year B.E. student in Computer Science (with a focus on AI & ML) with a strong interest in open-source development. I’m excited to explore contributing to Alaska as part of my preparation for Google Summer of Code.

I have hands-on experience with Python and MySQL, and I enjoy working on backend logic, data handling, and building reliable systems. I’m currently familiarizing myself with the project’s codebase and contribution workflow to understand how I can start contributing effectively.

I’m eager to begin with beginner-friendly issues, learn from the community, and contribute consistently over time. Any guidance on good first issues, documentation, or recommended areas to focus on would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to learning and contributing to the Alaska community.
