Intermittent problem with drm

For some days I have been facing a problem that sometimes after reboot the screen stays dark.

Reason is

Going into a tty and restarting sddm helps.

Any idea how to prevent this from happening?

Unfortunately not much that can be done. These are upstream issues with sddm

Perhaps I should try out plasma-login-manager 😁

Don't think its available for F43 yet, not sure though. Although it is still pretty much sddm as it was forked from it.

I guess I should look at rpm-ostree install plasma-login-manager where installation just works.

But that is not what I want.

Added plasma-login-manager to my custom image and after two subsequent reboots with dark screen I switched to plasma-login-manager which worked fine after rebooting.

Will watch things and I still could switch back to sddm if plasma-login-manager would choke in any way.

Thanks for removing supergfxctl-plasmoid from fc42 in aurora-dx-nvidia-open. Now the error messages I mentioned above some days ago are gone.

EDIT: I was thinking to remove it in my custom image but was unsure about a "removal action" as till today I only have added things in my custom images.

I think 6.6.1 broke some plasmoids and supergfxctl propably was one them (also one of my favs - kara). That just happened to be included in main
