How to extend Plate JSX for testing

I'm using import { jsx } from '@udecode/plate-test-utils'; to generate editor states for unit testing, but I have some custom element types that are not included in that hyperscript. How can I extend this JSX language to include new shorthands?

E.g. <himage_upload /> -> { type: ELEMENT_IMAGE_UPLOAD }:
