Create a paginated-editor (word like expirience)

Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible to create a paginated-like editor expirience (like Word/PDF).
I saw this project as an attempt of implement this a few years ago (here) and I was wondering if there was some news or projects about this feature, or someone that tried to achieve this.
