Is there a method to get position based on editor.selection?

That depends on what you mean by a position. editor.selection is a range, which is a pair of points. A point is a path and an offset, where the path refers to a node and the offset refers to the number of characters into that node where the selection starts or ends. This is explained in more detail on Slate's documentation site.

There are a number of utilities for working with ranges, points and paths in the @udecode/slate-utils package (included in @udecode/plate-common). Check if any of these does what you need: https://github.com/udecode/plate/tree/main/packages/slate-utils/src/queries
