Command Click to open a link

The Link plugins works as expected and the rendered element also has the src property. However, I could not find a way to allow the user to open the link, Is there a way to tell add a keybinding to the link to open it when clicked? A conventional way is with Cmd+Click

The current way to do this is that create a custom component for the plugin, using https://github.com/JohannesKlauss/react-hotkeys-hook

Hi, I started with a custom Link component from the base Link and added a onClick Handler. With a conditional check of whether the metaKey is pressed or not in the event, I could achieve what I wanted:

  const openLink = (e: React.MouseEvent) => {
    e.preventDefault();
    if (e.metaKey) {
      // Only open the link if meta key is pressed
      window.open(element.url);
    }
  };

I couldn't find a way to do it purely with hotkeys. I tried the following but it did not work:

  const isPressed = useIsHotkeyPressed();

  const openLink = (e: React.MouseEvent) => {
    e.preventDefault();
    if (isPressed('command')) {
      // Only open the link if meta key is pressed
      window.open(element.url);
    }
  };
