Description

The Config Video should be broken down into digestible chunks. The outline will propose those and give us the plan for moving forward, including new backlog issues.

Topics to include:

• Purpose of tool(s)
• CLI and API demonstration
• Compare yaml/nml/ini/sh
• Validate nml, but mention that others are supportable
  • Introduction to JSON Schema
  • Idea: Write a super simple JSON Schema to validate.
  • Might also convert (with the tool) to a different format (yaml, maybe) and re-validate
• Realize
  • STDIN/STDOUT vs all flag options for I/O and their priorities
  • How jinja expressions are handled, and when
  • Use of pyyaml syntax (anchors and tags) and UW-specific pyyaml tags (!remove, etc.)
  • Key-path flag
  • Values-needed flag
