Description

Topics to include:

• Purpose of tool
• Running with CLI and API for render
• Using input from STDIN or a file.
• Use of translate mode
• Use of values-needed flag
• Use of key=value pairs
• Precedence of env variables vs key/value pairs
• Use of Jinja filters in expressions
• Search paths for supporting macros. Docs have section on "macros" in template doc page.
• Silent failure in uw templater rendering when incorporating jinja2 macros in latest UFS SRW Application uwtools#422
• Several examples in parm/metplus from SRW
• Verbose/quiet/dry-run flags.

It is not necessary to hit all the above topics in order and singularly, but can be woven together to tell a more elegant story.
