Editing existing block inside RTE is missing the data and in draft mode

Bug summary

When adding a block inside a RTE inside a Block Grid, everything works fine. But after saving it and trying to edit the same block, the data is missing and it appears to be a draft mode block.

Specifics

Steps to reproduce

1. Configure a Block Grid with a RTE block
2. Configure the RTE to allow for a block to be added
3. Add a block to a RTE and save
4. Re-open the RTE and edit the block

Extra configuration info:
I have an Element Type as an area block called Rich Text Block. This has a datatype of a Richtext editor. The Element Type has "Vary by culture" enabled. My blockgrid itself does not have "Vary by culture" enabled. The block allowed as a block inside the RTE is an Element Type with "Vary by culture" disabled. Inside this Element Type is a Block List with an Element type which does have "Vary by culture" enabled.

Expected result / actual result

See the existing data and be able to edit this

Thanks for the report, surely an important problem to resolve.

Can you add a bit more about your configuration of the Element Types for the Blocks.
Do they vary by culture, and do their properties vary. Please incorporate it in your Steps to reproduce describtion.
