For content editors using Umbraco Cloud—who are accustomed to editing on a staging server and then transferring content to a live server—the current "Scheduled Publishing" feature in Umbraco doesn't quite make sense. After all, why schedule content to be published on a development or staging server when no one will see it?
I understand from Alex ( C6D ) that it's possible to publish the content on the staging server and then schedule a transfer, however I find this two step process along with the more visible "Scheduled Publishing" option to be a confusing UX. It has also confused the content editors for one of my clients, hence starting this discussion.
A more useful approach, in a multi-server setup like Umbraco Cloud, would be for Umbraco to change the schedule option to "Schedule Transfer" so it was more intuitive, see mock up screen shot :)
