I've replicated this so will add it to our backlog to be reviewed in an upcoming sprint.

It looks like the property editor triggers a change event on every keypress so as you type it's submitting the page back to the server for calculation, which as part of this it looks like we trim property values so whitespace gets removed.

We should look at implementing a debounce or see if we can flag some properties as not needing a round trip to recalculate the cart.
