Is data_storage branch stable

It seems that the data_storage branch is behind the master branch for about 2 years, and the master branch does not support data storage. Wondering that if the data_storage branch is still ready to use?

The original owner of this repo graduated and left... So we're not sure about the status of that branch.

Due to same reason we're moving to a new place: https://github.com/orgs/umd-memsys/ and we will be providing support from there. Welcome for contributions and feature requests!
