Built an open web-based video player for language learners

Hi everyone 👋

I’ve been following this project for a while and really appreciate the focus on using media for language learning. We recently built a browser-based video player aimed at solving a few gaps I kept running into when learning languages through videos, and I thought this community might find it useful or at least interesting to discuss.

What it does:

• Works directly in the browser (no install)
• Generates subtitles on demand and translates them
• Lets you click words in subtitles for instant dictionary lookup
• Can summarize videos
• Lets you “chat” with a video to ask questions about the content
