The logs keep showing errors, or missing files, and you try different version of docker-compose and get folders not correctly mounted or the database missing... I do have some basic experience with docker, I use Linux for years... but I'm not a developer. I can't solve all this errors or understand what they mean even with Google or ChatGPT. There is no way anyone can help here. The question is lacking any details, and "get folders not correctly mounted or the database missing" doesn't provide enough clues to help you with this question.

I think the issue is that they are owned by root but container doesn't run as root.
I'll try to reproduce it an update the documentation to mention the right permissions, or better alter the script to give helpful hint in this particular scenario.

Unfortunately, the error is exactly the same (with umputun/tg-spam:master)

Could you please giving https://github.com/umputun/tg-spam/blob/master/INSTALL.md another try and seeing if it works for you? I would be very interested in learning how to improve it, but I have far too much context to figure out what's wrong with it on my own unfortunately.

I hit the same error as the topic-starter. chmod -R 777 ./data worked fine
I suppose the problem was in addgroup -aG docker $USER line. May be I ran it before I had such a group because of missing package or I had to logout from session and log in again for action to take effect
