Investigate DIN DKE SPEC 99100 for a BatteryPass extension to UNTP DPP #468
Description
The DIN DKE SPEC 99100 released in Jan 2025 specifies the information (data attributes) that are required to be present in a complying battery passport.
We want to:
- Learn more about the specification,
- Identify whether a DPP extension for a BatteryPassport is feasible, and if not,
- Identify what changes to UNTP would be required to enable a BatteryPassport extension to the UNTP DPP.
That said, the specification is released under a By Attribution Non-Commercial license which is not an open license, though the associated GH repo says it is By Attribution only. I've asked for clarification both on the document itself as well as a GH issue.
As it is, I'm not sure if that makes it a non-starter until that's clarified legally.
