They are saying that you stand out less in a crowd. So for privacy you're better off using a bloated OS riddled with a laggy UI and telemetry all over the place, that even group policies can't completely fix so you literally have to use either Win10 with ESU support or use server variants and even there they tend to force-feed some of their bs into your system.

But, you're right, they could've gone for macOS as well, didnt have to be Linux, sorry. :D
