Long press rewind / fast forward results in continuously faster

Description

I use the Android TV integration on the Remote 3 for my Philips Android TV.

When I press the Rewind or Fast forward button for example in YouTube it goes 10 seconds back or forward.
When I long press the Rewind or Fast forward button it goes continuously 10 seconds back or forward, but it is not going faster.

When I do this on the Philips remote, a long press of the back or forward button the first few seconds goes continuously with 10 seconds, but after that it goes continuously faster.

Why is this not implemented in the Android TV integration?

• There is no native long-press functionality at the moment.
  This is being worked on at the moment.
• Long press functionality might not work with all devices and needs to be tested. This depends on the device's support of the Android TV Remote protocol v2.
