Description

Is it possible to add a function to press and hold a button?

This is useful for apps that display some options when pressing and holding the Enter/Ok button (for example the YouTube app displays an option to add the selected video to a playlist)

There's no generic way yet for long presses. This is an upcoming feature, where the API and implementation are currently being worked on (https://github.com/unfoldedcircle/core-api/tree/feat/remote-press-and-hold).

However, most long press functions are already available:

• Long press Enter/OK for context menu: CONTEXT_MENU command
• Long press Home for control center: MENU command
• Long press Menu key for top menu: TOP_MENU command
• Long press Right key for fast-forward: FAST_FORWARD command
• Long press Left key for rewind: REWIND command
