Sleep mode with standing iSpindel and Qi charging

Dear developers!

I have added the Qi charging option to my iSpindel_hobipivo-v4.x-PIL board in the “Kegland RAPT PIL” housing.
The advantage is that the iSpindel no longer needs to be opened for charging and the calibration values do not change.
It would be desirable for no data to be sent when the iSpindel is standing (charging) or lying down (deep sleep mode). Perhaps as a possible selection?
I saw a post from JackFrost in the German Hobbybrauer-Forum where the addition of “if(Tilt >= 10 && Tilt <= 80)” would be a possibility?
Could such a function be added in an official firmware version?

You could swap out the power switch for a normally closed magnetic switch and strap a magnet to it when it's charging.

I had one setup just like that, it worked fine (I got rid because wireless charging takes an eternity). It is practicable but I understand it's not what you'd prefer. If you feel happy getting your hands dirty with C, there's a few of us here who can help you get the git repo and platform IO setup so that you can play.

With this iSpindel in the smaller pilling housing, the available space for reed switches is very limited.
It would be positive if new features were implemented in the firmware, it does not have to come to a standstill.
In this case, a selection option for activating the function would be helpful.
Even if someone would not use Qi charging, it would be an advantage if no data is transmitted (iSpindel lying and/or standing) before and after removal from the fermentation barrel (diagram falsification).
Since my circuit boards are also used by other hobby brewers for assembly, an official firmware version is the goal.

I don't think this is the first time something like this has been requested. And certainly a pair of inputs to define the active range could be be added.
If I get a period of extended boredom I might have a look at coding it up.

I do think it's worth seeing if you can also get a reed switch in to remove power, they are pretty small (https://ebay.us/m/IlUMGg) . This would allow you to stop it just slowly draining the battery while it's in storage between brews. You might even kill a lithium battery leaving it in a way that the battery might get completely drained to zero, they don't like it.

I have recently found my old code where I tried adding a few bits and pieces. Temp correction factor and pressure sensor. Both pointless additions, temp correction barely made a diff and pressure doesn't really seem to work indise of such a solid container, also I don;t have a pressure setup. Might have a look at coding something up in the next few weeks, maybe after the end of October.
