Concerns on UNO's release policy

Hi,

I'm starting to be concerned about the UNO release policy:

• the last official release was on 28th of Jan this year. This already is > 3 months back and quite a long time given UNO's records of 5-6 major releases per year in the past few years
• the last 5.7 prerelease - which is 5.7.0-dev.814 - was published on 28th of March. No update since - which is uncommon given UNO's records of providing prereleases
• meanwhile development of 6.0 started. First prerelease 6.0.0-dev.4 was published on 29th of March
• ... and development of 6.1 started in parallel. First prerelease 6.1.0-dev.2 was published on 17th of April

This raises some questions:

• what is the timeframe for the next official update? 5.7? 6.X?
• is UNO planning to make changes on the licensing and to e.g. split commercial and 'open source' development with the risk of leaving behind/lagging the 'open source' releases?

We have our largest ever release coming next week if all goes well. So much went into it which will clearly explain the slight delays in regular releases.

Uno as a Platform will always remain Free and OSS. And you will see major additions to it in our upcoming release.

Our monetization strategy is with Studio, our optional productivity family of tools like Hot Design.
