As of now, Feedly is blocked on the main instance of bookmark-rss. The main reason is abusive behavior of the software itself:
- excessive amount of requests, no honoring of rate limits at all. 75% of requests from Feedly are 429.
- gigantic amount of IP addresses used
- fake user agents when rate limits kick in, pretending to be a browser
They have no documentation about how to report these kinds of issues, or what the expected behavior would be. Even AI companies are doing better than that. For example: Claude's crawler UA is well-documented and contains an email address.
Feedly being an otherwise shitty company also made the decision quite easy.
I recommend to switch to Inoreader or Feedbin which has almost none of these behaviors and fills a similar niche as Feedly.
