I had similar error, I added this to my package.json, it is probably issue how you modules are built.

"scripts": {
    "ngcc": "ngcc --properties es2015 module main --first-only",
    "postinstall": "npm run ngcc"
  },

Can you try? Do clean npm i after you remove node_modules
