Drop shadows don't appear

It doesn't really bother me that much, but drop shadows don't appear for me.
Let me know if there's something I can do to figure out why.

Did you update to the latest version?
Uninstalling and installing it again should write the registry entry to make explorer show the drop shadows.

You need to run the install script twice, once to uninstall and then to install again, just replacing the dll won't make the drop shadows appear, since the code that writes to registry is called by regsvr32 on registration.

I've done all of that, even made sure the registry entries were correct.

The one in particular for the shadow is under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.sar it should be a REG_DWORD named Treatment with value 1
it should be the same entry, but check under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.sar for the same value too

Yeah, those are there as well, both with the value 1.
I'll check on a virtual machine and see if it does the same thing.

Edit: I couldn't replicate the issue on a VM. Could there be an old registry entry from the first version that wasn't removed?

Looks like if you give it a file association, it'll ignore any set Treatment values.
I had it set up to associate with the Symbol Art Editor program

I'm not sure it will work, but perhaps you could try to keep both by putting the "Treatment" value on the key for the associated program.

• Check in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.sar (Default) key, if the extension is associated with a program, it should have something written on it.
• Then go to that key ( HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\<What was in default> ) and put Treatment REG_DWORD 1 in there
