VSCode Bruno Extension shows "Oops! Something went wrong" error screen on .bru file open

I have checked the following:

• I have searched existing issues and found nothing related to my issue.

This bug is:

• making Bruno unusable for me
• slowing me down but I'm able to continue working
• annoying
• this feature was working in a previous version but is broken in the current release.

Operating System

macOS 15.7.3 (24G419)

Describe the bug

Opening .bru files in VSCode with Bruno extension displays the orange dog "Oops! Something went wrong bug hasn't been fixed" error window instead of proper preview/editor. Extension fails completely to handle .bru files. Screenshot attached.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Install Bruno extension (bruno-api-client.bruno) from VSCode Marketplace
2. Create/open any .bru file in VSCode
3. Extension triggers → shows error popup/crash screen immediately

Expected: .bru file opens in Bruno preview/editor mode for API testing.
