@brunocastello This doesn't address the main issue with GL emulation on macOS which is that macOS natively does not support modern desktop OpenGL extensions. We currently use virglrenderer+ANGLE which basically translates (guest) desktop OpenGL to (host) GLES 3.0 to (ANGLE) Metal. In order to improve the OpenGL support, we basically need to improve virglrenderer to handle more capabilities when using GLES backend so it can expose more OGL features to the guest. Alternatively, we look at something like Zink which is OGL over Vulkan and then Vulkan to Metal. But I've experimented with that recently and Zink does not work with MoltenVK OR KosmicKrisp. |
