Hi,
We recently set up UVdesk on a virtual machine for testing, but we've encountered an issue with email encoding. When Gmail receives an email with charset="iso-8859-1", UVdesk (which runs on UTF-8) doesn't display special characters like å, ä, and ö correctly.

Is there a fix for this? Can the mail parser handle encoding conversion with mbstring during mail fetching, or is there another recommended solution?

Hi, unfortunately this update didn’t achieve the desired result. It changed all outgoing emails from us to customers, whereas our goal was to modify the incoming emails instead.
To make matters worse, the update has actually made the situation more problematic because åäö wont work on outgoing emails now.

We’re experiencing the same issue with incorrect display of special characters (å, ä, ö) in emails fetched by UVdesk.

Our setup also uses UTF-8, but incoming emails with charset="iso-8859-1" aren’t rendered correctly.
