Description
Description:
The current documentation for Caustics lacks information on how to use YAML configurations for setting up simulations. Providing clear and detailed instructions on utilizing YAML files to define simulation parameters will enhance user experience and make the tool more accessible.
Proposed Solution:
Update the documentation to include a new section explaining how to use YAML configurations for simulations. This section should cover the following topics:
- Overview of YAML configuration format for Caustics simulations.
- Description of each parameter that can be specified in the YAML file, including examples and default values.
- Instructions on how to create and structure YAML configuration files for different types of simulations.
- Guidelines for loading YAML configurations into Caustics and initializing simulations based on the specified parameters.
Steps to Implement:
- Create a new section in the documentation specifically dedicated to YAML configuration usage.
- Write detailed explanations and examples for each parameter that can be defined in the YAML file.
- Provide step-by-step instructions on how to create, structure, and save YAML configuration files.
- Include code snippets and screenshots to illustrate the process of loading YAML configurations into Caustics.
- Review and proofread the updated documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
