Problem to solve

The current survey has followed the 2024 PIT count survey questions.

For the pilot survey, attached please find the working version of the updated survey instruments, and the data models for the 25 Fall pilot survey.

You will see a few comments on questions I put to try and give context to either skip logic (i.e., Where did you sleep last night and the vehicle/amenities) or place holders for youth questions are finalizing. One thing to note: I have yet to put the HUD 4.21 new data elements asking about Sex (question for survey instrument would likely be “Sex Assigned At Birth) in the survey instrument. Below what the question may look like – we have to wait for HUD to confirm PIT Count standards in the coming months:

I've made initial progress on populating the pilot in #101, just a few questions:

• Is there somewhere to find which questions should be marked as required?
• Household members do not have Other (write in) option for their demographics questions, but the main respondent demographic questions do. Want to confirm this is intentional
• Need more clarity on precipitating_events:
  • Is the first question meant to have hard OR soft as answers, or a yes or no to either (as in, yes or no to either hard or soft)?

Was it a hard (law enforcement) or soft (removal of belongings) eviction?; If Yes – Did it lead to your most recent experience of homelessness?; If No – When were you evicted?, ___________________ (write-in YYYY

• On the pet questions, the spreadsheet specifies 41 lbs or less; More than 40 lbs (which would need to be fixed anyway), and the document specifies 40 lbs or less, more than 40 lbs. Which option was intended?
• If consent is not given, I see the document says to proceed to section 1. After section 1, do we skip to section 6, or outro, or just end?
• For the future, just need to know final Sex question format/variable name, and if each household member should also have that included in their row
