Do we have an equivalent to Vega-Lite’s labelExpr?

I’d like to split the label into an array and use the second element as the tick label.

You should be able to do this if writing vgplot code directly in JavaScript by using the xTickFormat option (for the x-axis, yTickFormat for the y-axis) to provide a custom function that performs the desired formatting. Under the hood, this maps down to setting the tickFormat option in the corresponding scale options passed to Observable Plot.
