What languages are supported?

Which languages does this extension support? In particular I would like to know if swift is supported.

Swift story is a bit complicated: it is marked as supported, however in order to be actually useful for Swift debugging, codelldb needs a debugger backend compiled with Swift plugin. See this note.

Yes. On macOS it is .dylib (dynamic library), on Windows it's DLL (dynamic link library) and on Linux .so (for shared object).

So it seems you should set lldb.library to /home/peter/Downloads/swift-5.3-RELEASE-ubuntu20.04/usr/lib/liblldb.so

I've already got it working. I was just asking for the docs to be clarified because when I initially found the liblldb file I thought it was the wrong one because I was expecting to find a directory called liblldb with a so/dylib/dll path inside of it. I thought the slashes represented path separators.

Ok, would suggest to write a PR with clear enough language then. How did the debugger work out for Swift code?

It worked reasonably well. I honestly haven't needed to use it that much.
