i18n: Show English names for country labels on the map

Currently, country names on the map are displayed in their native/local script. For English-speaking users, these should display English names instead.

This is a map tile/style level change — the tile source or style needs to be configured to prefer name:en (or the equivalent language key) over the default name field for label rendering.

That's a very good point!! At least for vector tiles and we'll only get more of those. Note, we have a language dropdown for guidance instructions already, falling back to English. We can use that?

I'm not sure about the shortbread OSM vector tiles. Soon we'll go with some Maptiler ones. There I'm hopeful we can just pass the language in the request header?

What I want to avoid is keeping our own translations of anything (other than our own UI at some point).

Went through the map-related files and found that the current Shortbread OSM vector tiles only provide name(for local languages), name_en, and name_de so language support for map labels is limited to those three at the moment.

That said, this could serve as a solid starting point. We can implement a language control that swaps the text-field property on symbol layers between the available name keys.

The existing directions language dropdown already supports 29+ languages, so once we move to Maptiler (which offer broader name:{lang} coverage or request-header-based language selection), the UI can be extended to support the full set without major rework.
