Open-Shell menu closes instantly if to invoke it by clicking at the letfmost bottom corner

This behavior appeared recently, I do not know whether it is due update of Windows or EP.
My Windows version is 10.0.22000.1641. I use the Windows Classic theme.

Previously I could invoke the Open Shell menu by clicking at the very left edge of the screen (for instance, the very corner pixel), outside of the visible border of the Start button.

Now, when clicking on it, the menu appears, but then disappears when the mouse button is released and the Start button gets unpushed. This does not happen if I click in the Start button proper rather than the corner pixel.

Also, recently the terminal windows returned to the periodic jerking behavior when EP is running, that I did not see for a long time.
