Maybe a safe mode?

Experienced continuous crashing mentioned in #2051. However, after the "crashed three times, EP is now disabled until the next File Explorer restart" pop-up appeared, I found that at least some of the features were still working, like the Windows 10 style start menu, disable context menu, etc.

Perhaps there could be a safe mode? Rather than "disabled until the next File Explorer restart", some of the features that has effects on stability can be disabled. Or a toggle switch to disable EP outright for a while? So that people can work on the problem or wait for a update without having to witness EP crash three times each time the explorer is restarted. It cloud be much easier this way than uninstalling or edit the registry.
