Yes, thank you for the follow-up question; the pop-up is the same as discussed in that StackExchange post and my work-around solution is derived from variations of the suggested solutions posted there. I hope, however, that your question is not the answer. I believe that the context menu option "Task Manager" appears on my Task Bar because to arrive at a very helpful, very fulsome table of Supported Windows Versions and so, having made the update that triggered the new problem I am able to say that winver reports: Faulting application name: taskmgr10.exe, version: 10.0.22000.778, time stamp: 0x152731d3 |

I'm sorry for entering this as a discussion, I do not have sufficient understanding/expertise to be able to successfully open a bug issue. The title of this discussion point is pretty much the whole matter. After last Tuesday's Windows 11 update, a new version of C:\Windows\System32\taskmgr.exe has been installed and now clicking on the context menu results in the pop-up message indicating that "The requested operation requires elevation." Yes, there are available alternatives, but I found it convenient to be able to start Task Manager from your version of the Taskbar.
