Cannot get in running after Upgrade fron Win11 23H2 to 24H2, though steps followd

Hello!
Unfortunately I cannot get the Explorer Patcher running anymore since the mentioned Upgrade of Win11.
Followed all steps like exclusions added to my AVG Ultimate, disabled while donwload etc. It simply doesn't do anything anymore, even not reporting a failure.
While processing the install.exe, screen turns black for a second, than the (normal) Win11 Explorer starts again.

Did I miss any advise?
Help much appretiated, as I am dependent on changing the tasbar position to the top instead of bottom, which is not supported by Win11 anymore. It all worked untill Win11 23H2, but not after Upgrade to 24H2.

That is normally what happens when you install EP. It doesn't show any progress bar when installing.

You must also add the exclusions to your antivirus if you are using a third party antivirus: https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/releases

Hello, I did add the exclusions to my antivirus. That is why I wrote „Followed all steps like exclusions added to my AVG Ultimate“
Just the powershell commands to add them to my Defender did not work, threw errors in powershell.
But your answer sounds like that in general it’s possible to run the tool on Win11 24H2 still?
So what am I missing?

Most likely the error you got with powershell was because you have a third party antivirus running. Please post that next time.

Open up EP Properties application, go to taskbar, and set taskbar style to Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher), not Windows 10. We no longer offer more support on the stock Windows 10 taskbar.

Hello! I'm following up in this comment as well, as my new discussion doesn't seem to want to post.

I was upgraded by IT last night to Win 11 24H2 26100.4061 and I do not have Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher) as an option in my Taskbar Style drop menu. I only have Windows 11 (default) and Windows 10.

I'm using EP version 22631.5335.68.2.

Try uninstalling EP and then reinstalling EP from: https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/releases

When upgrading windows 11 to 24h2, you're supposed to uninstall EP before hand. You did not have control over this, so not your fault.

If this is a work computer, be aware that you need administrative privileges to uninstall, install, and update EP.
