Adding a link to the quick launch folder doesn't work but dragging it to the task bar does, thanks. They seem to end up in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar but they were already there, so they get duplicated with (2) on the end. Is there some registry key that gets set when they are dragged? |

Thanks that sorted it out. I got confused by all my previous Quick Launch links being in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar. Before the Windows update they must have been in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch. When I enabled the quick launch toolbar then simply dragging them back to the Quick Launch folder made them appear. |

The instructions do not say to drag and drop the folder
%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
. There is nothing in the instructions that hasAppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
.Perhaps you'd be better off watching the video in the link.
