There is no such thing as "forced updates". Just disable Windows Update and do manual updates. Problem solved. Once a month, typically the second Tuesday of each month, I go to Microsoft Update Catalog: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/ In the search box in the upper right, put in your version of Windows. For example mine is Windows 11 x64 22H2. Download the latest update and run it. |

Windows 11 22h2 reached end of life on October 2024, which means you are running an LTSC version of it that is for enterprises. You do have the ability to disable updates for it. Home editions of windows 11 do not. They can only set a delay of updates. |

Going back to Windows 7 they took out the ability to remember the last position of the folder and it's size.
Microsoft says no one ever brought this up but you can find the outrage online going on for a decade before everyone just gave up.
That would be awesome if this can be put in explorer.
Also, if you might, prevent Microsoft FLAGSHIP baby, Windows Explorer to stop crashing then reseting when it runs out of buffer space or whatever.
Forced updates and every new, dumb %%% feature breaks what was working.
Also, a way to disable the useless tabs..
I have an Operating System, not a web page.
