when Start menu (or Edge home page) opens, a local HTML/XLS to open in a pane next to the start menu (optionally the News/Stocks/Weather widget - or ideally a Ministocks-like widget - or Ministocks itself via Android-subsystem-for-Windows)
Win11 News/Stocks/Weather widget appears to require Microsoft account (where Win10 News and Interests didn't), so it's useful if your software provides such functionality:
MSN Money in Win10 supports adding live tiles for each individual stock (user selectable, of course). So the Start menu can become a stocks tracker. Of course, individual stock widgets should be manually arrangeable (e.g. the user to change the automatic positioning). Same for all widgets (not only stocks), e.g. maybe I want my Weather widget to the left and my News widget to the right (with the automatically suggested stories in-between).
option to open Start menu and Widgets panel simultaneously when clicking on either Start button/Widgets button. Purpose is to get the at-a-glance info from widgets every time the user opens the Start menu. Similar to the way Live tiles dynamic info is always seen when Start menu is opened in Win10.
Ideally, when clicking on a Stock/News story/Weather day - a relevant application or website to open:
click on the MSFT value goes to a list of recent financial news about Microsoft
click on a news story opens THAT story in a browser (and NOT just the News app default screen where the user has to MANUALLY SEARCH for the story that was clicked... and eventually gives up, because it can neither be found nor searched for via "find ..." - that's how the MSN News live tile works now, unfortunately)
