As the title says. It would be nice if these clicks also worked on the empty space of the Toolbars (Desk Bands), and, the same also applies to the double-click that toggles the autohide, which currently still doesn't work on the empty space of the Toolbars.
Why also the empty space of the Toolbars and not just the empty space of the Taskbar? Firstly, it's because the Taskbar doesn't necessarily always have an empty space. Secondly, the ability to choose which empty space to click on can help to reduce the kind of long distance mouse travels back and forth that can tend to become a bit fatiguing if it has to be repeated a lot.
Of course it currently is possible to close the Windows 10 Start Menu simply by clicking on the Windows 10 Taskbar's Start Button again. But... each one of the flyouts does close nicely if clicking anywhere on the Windows 10 Taskbar so IMO it does make sense to make the closing behavior of the Start Menu the same.
If it's not again too much trouble to implement these changes. lol :-)
