Email Service Provider

Trying to configure new Vanjaro 1.4 site. Can't seem to configure the Email Service Provider. Keep getting error: "The specified string is not in the form required for an e-mail address." I am using the exact same entries that reside on my functioning DNN 9.10.2 site.
Server: mail.domain.xxx Username: [email protected] Password, Host email: [email protected]

Kind of a nondescript error that doesn't tell you much.

It turns out that the E-Mail address stored in the table "dbo.User" for the Super User Account or Host must be properly set in a correct format! A clerical error you can make during installation. The only way to fix it is to edit via the database:-( Why have an entry at all in the set up form if it cannot update the Host Record OR an inability to edit via the Site->User form.
