Avahi browse not working

I do have avahi browse installed, but it is not recognized by the app:

$ which avahi-browse
/usr/bin/avahi-browse

How would I fix this? Do I need to install it while building or what?

Hi! No, it should work. You need to press the button 'Discover devices' in the settings on the bottom (sorry for Czech screenshot, I am too lazy to switch the languge:-)):

Only new devices will be added into appropriate setting's sections with the possibility to pair...

Do you still have troubles?

If you still have an issue, try to run /usr/bin/avahi-browse -a ... is the desired device displayed?

Does not work with the App. Also I find the UX quite confusing. The text tells me that avahi browse was not detected. At least that is what I understood. And since it does not look like a button, it also feeld weird pressing it. But maybe just because nothing happens in my case....

Seems good. The message 'It requires... ' does not mean it it not available. Maybe the UX is just misunderstood. Once you press the button, wait a second and the unpaired bridge should appear in the Philips hue section like this:

Pressing on the line with the bridge will initiate pairing.

If it is really not working, please enable debug log in advanced settings and check journalctl -f for msgs while pressing the Discover devices button.

Anyway, thx, I will do some UX changes to discovering devices.

I have improved the UX. If avahi-browse is detected, no subtitle is shown on the button. Also sections with detected devices are marked with star and the subtitle informs you about that.

Is this issue resolved with the latest version? In order to show newly discovered bridge, it must not be configured in the extension. Only new device will be shown.
