Hi,

Thx for the writeup on the Home Automation for the Remote on the Orcon Mechanic ventilation.
It seems that flat-cable pin 2 is ground and 3 is timer as I've experienced when implementing your code and that of https://community.home-assistant.io/t/my-binary-template-sensor-not-working/224593/23 . Maybe you want to change that or not ;)

I faced the same issue while following on this write up. It worked after i switched ground to pin 2.
