how would you parse a complex stringified json object

hi guys,
how would you parse a complexx json which attributes can be anything from strings to stringified json objects.
the parse_json will only parse the first _level .. and im left with some attrbutes that has stringified json values

my goal is to dynamically parse the full object ( i tried the max_depth opt but it doesnt help)
