Q&A: How to use a variable from transform in the elastic search sink as query param?

Hi,

I have to set _routing in my es doc that is to be indexed.

I have configured the following in my transform

.routing_id=parsed.routingid

where parsed is the json parsed from .message.

And I have the following configured in sink

[sinks.elasticsearch.query]
routing = “{{ .routing_id }}”

But in the logs, I am seeing the routing in the query param in the uri as empty

/_bulk?timeout=60s&routing=

And this is leading to missing _routing field in the document indexed in es.

Can anyone please help here?
