Hello, I just want to report that the new experimental Image component (/future/image) is the real deal. It is much lighter, more developer-friendly and, above everything else, MUCH FASTER. The PageSpeed Insights score for my website sky-rocketed after using it and is almost constantly at 98-99! Which totally makes sense since the new image component does not add extra DOM elements and thus decreasing processing power requirements. Looking forward to the production ready release and hopefully the latest middleware related performance bug #38267 / #38273 will be fixed soon!
