"Turbopack is now stable" means I can remove the --turbo part of my npm dev script?

Summary

⚠ The config property experimental.turbo is deprecated. Move this setting to config.turbopack as Turbopack is now stable.

I'm unable to understand what that means and how to remove this warning.

• I don't have any experimental.turbo entries in my config. I have an empty turbo: {} entry
• I have this as my dev script: "dev": "next dev --turbopack",
• If I remove the --turbo thing the warning is gone... but I can't be sure if the warning dissapears because now I am using it as a stable thing or because I opted out of it?

Main confusion is: is --turbo meant as a toggle, or as a experiment toggle?

If it is meant as a toggle, how do I get rid of it?

Hi,

You likely have a plugin, like next-intl, or fumadocs, etc, that inject more configuration, and might still be adding experimental.turbo.

If you remove --turbo, then you are not using Turbopack. --turbo is not an experimental toggle, it is the currently supported way to activate Turbopack.

The warning you are seeing, if you don't have experimental.turbo set, is likely coming from a next.config.js plugin.
