Disable auto fetch

With react-query, I am able to disable fetching, until I want to trigger it via an event handler, by setting enabled: false

What is the SWR equivalent to disable auto fetching until I trigger it?

I looked at revalidateOnMount, but when new key is generated, due to the props being used in the key, this is automatically triggering the fetch.

Here is a sandbox.

You can press on Inc to rerender the <Child /> which has the hook.

When isPaused() returns true, the mutate call is doing nothing.

I have an onSuccess() callback, which is also not firing after mutate() callback.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong here

sorry my mistake, mutate is still using the swr internal revalidation which will go through isPaused condition too. it's expected, I've corrected my last comment.

Oh, in that case, I guess there's no way to do what I want with useSWR it seems. I'll raise a issue in that case.

does the setting those configs work for you? #450 (comment) and then use mutate to trigger revalidations

That config doesn't work for my use case.

useSWR triggers a refetch when the component rererenders due to parent rerendering
