Filter on parameter values when tracing

can this search for parameters that are typestring but trace strings that contain words? for example trace strings that contain the word "reload"

You can already trace methods that have at least one System.String using:

const SystemStringType = Il2Cpp.corlib.class("System.String").type;

Il2Cpp.trace(true)
    .assemblies()
    .filterParameters(_ => _.type.equals(SystemStringType))
    .and()
    .attach();

but there's no easy way to filter on parameter values.

As of now, you can pipe the output to a text file so that you can inspect it later using a text editor (and leverage its CTRL+F).

In the future we could do add a filterParameterValues so that one could do:

const SystemStringType = Il2Cpp.corlib.class("System.String").type;

Il2Cpp.trace(true)
    .assemblies()
    .filterParameters(_ => _.type.equals(SystemStringType))
    .filterParameterValues(_ => _ instanceof Il2Cpp.String && _.content.includes("reload"))

    .attach();

If a method matches the provided filterParameterValues, the output would be:

However, one might want to have a "cascading" effect so that if a method matches the provided filterParameterValues, then all the subsequent calls are logged:

0×00a1aab1 │ ┌─AnotherClass::AnotherMethod(something=true)
0×00a1aab1 │ └─AnotherClass::AnotherMethod = 12
